<p>The invention relates to an installation for incubating and hatching eggs, of the type comprising a fixed chamber (1) in which are disposed, end-to-end, two rows of carriages (9) carrying eggs (11) in superposed layers, the said carriages (9) comprising means for alternated tilting of the eggs (11) during their residence in the chamber (1), and means for heating, cooling and ventilating the chamber (1). According to the invention, the said chamber (1) is divided into two equal sections (4, 5) by a central longitudinal partition which can be opened and which separates the two rows of carriages (9), the two sections (4, 5) having a substantially square transverse section, a circulation fan (16, 17) being disposed at two opposite ends of each of the said sections (4, 5), a recovery fan (18, 19) of dimensions similar to those of the circulation fans (16, 17) being disposed at the other end of each of the said sections (4, 5).
