<p>PURPOSE:To carry out opacifying treatment stably usable for a long period of time without being influenced by thermal change and chemical change by processing an arbitrary zone on the surface of a transparent member such as glass substrate into a desired opacity in a short time. CONSTITUTION:In a device of opacifying treatment having a laser light source 1, preferably an excimer laser light source and a convergent lens 6, a first screening plate 2 having an aperture 21 prescribing an opacifying treatment zone of a transparent member is inserted into between the laser light source 1 and the convergent lens 6, the opacifying treatment zone is made into a rough surface, then, a second light screening plate having apertures 31-39 of small diameter is inserted into between the light source and the lens to form plural bottomed holes having a very small aperture. The bottomed holes having a very small aperture are formed on the rough surface zone and the zone is made opaque by combination of the rough surface and the bottomed holes. The order of insertion of the first light screening plate and the second light screening plate may be changed.</p> |
