PURPOSE:To obtain the electrophotographic yellow toner superior in image reproduction performance and image storage stability by incorporating a specified dye. CONSTITUTION:This dye is represented by formula I in which each of R1-R8 is H, 1-8C alkyl, alkyl halide, alkanol, alkoxy, alkyl ether, halogen, hydroxy, allyl, allyl halide, allyl ether, or hydroxyallyl. This dye is classified generally into a disperse dye or an coil-soluble dye. A BLUE type dye can be mixed with this dye to control its tone. As the BLUE dye, it is preferred to likewise use dyes classified into the disperse dye or the oil-soluble dye, thus permitting the obtained toner to be superior in humidity dependency of electric chargeability, fluidity characteristics, insulating property, and the like and also enhanced in fixability, sharpness in melting, offset resistance, and to form an image good in tone. |
