PURPOSE:To uniformize the speed and amt. of the molten metal passing through the filters in a stage adjacent to the molten metal inlet and in other stages and to uniformize the filtering performance for each stage. CONSTITUTION:Tubular filters 1 are fixed between opposed side plates 2 to assemble a molten metal cartridge, and the flow resistance of the filter 1 in the stage adjacent to the molten metal inlet is made larger than those of the filters 1 in other stages.
