<p>PURPOSE:To make detectable and quantitatively measurable a leakage of water at a pressure relief valve in a storage type closed electric- or kerosene-heated hot-water supply apparatus and make a controlling device judge whether the actuation of the pressure relief valve is normal or abnormal, accordingly control the heating, and signal the matter to the user by means of a warning buzzer or lamp. CONSTITUTION:A closed hot-water storage tank 3 is provided with a water heater 6 inside the tank. On the feedwater side of the hot-water storage tank 3 a feedwater pipe 1 is provided with a check valve 2 and on the hot-water supply side a hot-water supply pipe 4 is provided with a pressure relief valve 5. An expansion pipe 9 for draining water from the pressure relief valve 5 has outlet at the lowest position in the outer casing 7 of the hot-water supply apparatus and water discharged from the pressure relief valve 5 and carried off by the expansion pipe 9 flows into a flow-rate sensor 12 provided under the outlet of the expansion pipe 9 and impinges on and drives a freely rotatable vane wheel 14 of magnetic material; as the vane wheel 14 rotates, a magnetic sensor 15 detects the rotation and emits a signal on the basis of which a controlling device 8 controls the heater 6 and gives a signal relating to the actuation of the pressure relief valve 5.</p> |
