发明名称 FAULT MONITOR METHOD FOR SELF-ROUTING SWITCH
摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of the equipment configuration by using all path control operation as an object of a fault monitor in the case of using a test cell so as to detect a fault of a self-routing switch thereby detecting an intermittent fault and omitting a fault detection by a test cell in the error detection of a routing bit. CONSTITUTION:A header conversion circuit (CNV) employing a table memory (TBL) at a pre-stage of a switch (SRSW) converts a cell format of a cell input in the inside of the SRSW and between the CNV and SRSW into a cell format form provided with an additional area (RB) to write a routing bit into the RB. A path is shared by a specific part of the routing bit of a converted cell format and the bit is shared to a correct routing bit pointing out each output port at a final stage of the SRSW. A routing bit check circuit (CHK) provided to an output port compares and checks dissidence between a routing bit pointing out a shared correct output port and a routing bit from a fault occurrence stage of the SRSW.
