PURPOSE:To keep the incident angle to a living body of an ultrasonic beam nearly constant in an ultrasonic probe to be directly brought into contact with the living body inner part during operation. CONSTITUTION:A stand-off material 24 is mounted on the ultrasonic radiating side end part of the ultrasonic oscillator part 20 of an ultrasonic probe. In this stand-off material 24, a surface through which an ultrasonic beam 100 is passed and transmitted, or a living body contact end surface 24b to be directly brought into contact with a living body inner part has a determined inclination to the radiating direction of the ultrasonic beam 100.
