PURPOSE:To prevent an original from being in contact with a correction member, to keep the position accuracy of the correction member high with respect to an original placing face of an original platen glass and to coat a reflecting face of the correction member. CONSTITUTION:This reader is provided with a correction member 6 formed by adhering a reflecting face 6a with a uniform reflection density onto an original placing face 20 of an original platen glass 5 at the outside of a prescribed area B. Since the reflecting face 6a of the correction member 6 is allowed to closely contact with the original placing face 20 of the original platen glass 5 in this way, the flatness between the reflecting face 6a and the original placing face 20, and the coincidence between the distance of the original placing face 20 and the read means and the distance of the reflecting face 6a and the read means are ensured and the reflecting face 6a is coated by the original platen glass 5. An original 15 whose reading is finished is carried from one end of the original platen glass 5 to the outside of the original placing face 20. Thus, the original 15 is not in contact with the correction member 6. |
