The method for improving the maximum speed of a rotor position sensorless brushless DC motor comprises the steps of comparing reverse electromotive forces (Vu, Vv, Vw) of resp. phase coils (Lu, Lv, Lw) with other reverse electromotive forces (Vv, Vw), (Vw, Vu) and (Vu, Vv) which are different to each other to obtain position detection signals (a,b,c) of a rotor, comparing the reverse electromotive forces with a common voltage (Vcom) to obtain resp. phase turn-on signals (r,v,w) for turning-on the coils, and obtaining charge and discharge control signals by the position detection signals and the resp. phase turn-on signals which are outputted as a rotation direction control signal in a predetermined order in response to forward and reverse direction control signals.
