PURPOSE:To provide the title electric wires/cables designed to prevent soil, rivers, etc., from pollution due to termite-proofing agent discharge, prevent the decline in termite-proofing agent activity through water and heat resistance provision, leading to inhibiting damages due to termite for a long period of time. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be obtained by incorporating and kneading (A) 100 pts.wt. of a thermoplastic resin composition with (A) 0.5-10 pts.wt. of a microencapsulated diethyl toluamide, (B) 0.5-3 pts.wt. of an octylic acid metal salt or versatic acid metal salt, (C) a polyester plasticizer, and, where appropriate, (D) 0.5-10 pts.wt. of hydrophobic silica. This composition is applied on the outermost layer of electric wires/cables. |
