PURPOSE:To obtain a herbicide composition exhibiting synergistic and complete controlling effect even at a low rate of application at which complete control cannot be attained with single component by combining a specific spiro compound with a herbicide such as N-phosphonomethyl glycine. CONSTITUTION:The objective herbicide composition contains (A) a spiro compound of formula (R<1> to R<4> are H, lower alkylcarbonyl, arylcarbonyl or aralkyl; R<2> and R<3> may together form carbonyl) (e.g. a compound wherein all of R<1> to R<4> are H) and (B) at least one kind of compound selected from 2-(4- isopropyl-4-methyl-5-oxo-2-imidazolin-2-yl)nicotinic acid, 4-[hydroxy-(methyl) phosphinoyl]-DL-homoalanine and N-(phosphonomethyl)glycine. The amount of the component B is preferably 0.2-10 pts.wt. per 1 pt.wt. of compounds of the formula. |
