PURPOSE: To provide a device for removing air and an excessive liquid carrier from a photoconductive part without making a developed image irrugular. CONSTITUTION: A toner grain image and a liquid carrier are transferred from the photoconductive parts to one substrate. An electrode 54 which is provided with a slit connected to a vacuum pump 58 and to which a bias is electrically applied removes the liquid carrier from the gap between the electrode and the photoconductive parts through the slit. The electrical bias applied to the electrode generates a sufficient electric field, so as to maintain the toner grain image in a state where irregularities do not actually exist, when the air and the liquid carrier are recovered from the gap. |
