PURPOSE: To reduce near-end crosstalk by adjusting the phase of a light wave of one wavelength returned to a coupler to a predetermined value. CONSTITUTION: This duplexer is equipped with a device PS which adjusts the phase of the light wave of one wavelength λ1 returned to the coupler K through one of paths WL2 and WL3 to the predetermined value. Then, the phase of the light wave of one wavelength λ1 returned to the coupler K through one of the optical paths WL2 and WL3 is set to the predetermined value which is π/2 different from the phase of the light wave of one wavelength λ1 returned to the coupler K through the other optical path. Consequently, the near-end crosstalk can be reduced. |
