PURPOSE:To realize channel assignment without any feeling of auditory disorder by assigning a new musical sound preferentially to a channel where a musical sound with a small envelope level is assigned regardless of an envelope waveform and regardless of whether a key is being turned on or already turned on. CONSTITUTION:An envelope level memory 32 is stored with momentarily envelope level data EL on musical sounds assigned to respective channels and a channel number regarding the musical sound having the minimum envelope level data among the data is detected by a 1st minimum level detecting circuit 41 and written in a corrected envelope level memory 33. When the musical sound regarding new key-on operation is assigned to a channel, this channel having the written channel number is assigned. |
