Method of manufacturing a pulsed coaxial cable, the cable comprising an inner conductor (11) surrounded by an insulation (12) made of a dielectric material, and an outer conductor (13) surrounding the insulation, characterised in that the dielectric material is cellular and in that the cells (16) of the insulation are filled, before or during manufacture, with a gas having a high dielectric strength and low loss, filling being carried out so that the gas flows along the cable, lengthwise, the cells (16) having been constructed for this purpose, and filling also being carried out so that the gas cannot escape into the ambient atmosphere. <IMAGE>
