The invention relates to a device for fitting plates for harvesting sunflowers, supporting the whole of these and capable of being fixed to the cutting bar of a combine harvester. The device includes, mainly, a connection crossmember (7) fixed to the cutting bar by quick fasteners, on which bar are mounted sliding supports (30) which can be secured as desired to the crossmember (7) by a set screw (binding screw), to which is fixed, simply by interfitting and locking using a screw, the heel (22) of a sole plate (21) supporting each plate (10); a stiffener (40) connects a tab (35) fixed under each sliding support (30) to the front part of each plate (10). <IMAGE>
