PURPOSE:To eliminate unnaturalness during the chord change in an automatic accompaniment and to perform a smooth accompaniment. CONSTITUTION:In an automatic accompaniment header ROM 6, a flag is provided to show whether the accompaniment sounds, which are stopped once, should be regenerated or not during an automatic accompaniment chord change for every musical instrument which constructs the accompaniment sounds. When a chord change takes place, a CPU 2 stops the actions of the musical instruments which are playing the accompaniment music and controls the generation of sounds for each musical instrument in accordance with the flag mentioned above. For example, regeneration of sounds takes place for the continuous type musical sound instruments such as a violin and an organ and no regeneration of sounds takes place for the attenuating musical sound instruments such as a piano. |
