PURPOSE:To save the amount of memory by reducing the data and to obtain good harmony without generating a dischord. CONSTITUTION:A chord type detecting means 2 detects the fundamental note of a chord and a chord type CT in accordance with the key conditions of a keyboard 1. Furthermore, an automatic accompaniment top note data means 3 detects the top note of the automatic accompaniment keys, which are being depressed, and supplies the top note to a note conversion module 4 as a note data ND1. The note conversion module 4 converts the note data ND1 to a note data ND2 which are corresponding to the chord type CT and supplies them to an additional sound table 5 and a harmony additional module 6. The additional sound table 5 determines an additional sound AN which is supposed to be generated in accordance with the note data ND2 and the chord type CT. The harmony additional module 6 supplies the note data ND2, which are converted in accordance with the chord type CT, and the additional sound AN as a prescribed chord and a speaker SP generates it as musical sounds. |
