The device comprises a support and a socket body (5) including an upstream end (5a) and a downstream end (5b) and having, in the vicinity of its downstream end, an external screw thread designed to interact with a ring (8) which is also threaded, the upstream end of the said ring (8) being designed to clamp, between it and a shoulder (9) provided on the socket body, an object pierced with a circular hole (2). The said object constitutes the said support and it is in the form of a plate (1) whose rear face is fitted with wedging means (10, 14) making it possible to stand the lighting device in a stable equilibrium on a horizontal surface (21) in the manner of a photograph frame (holder). <IMAGE>
