An electrical connector, usable especially on a motor car, comprises an insulating body (12) pierced with passages for accommodating contacts each fitted with a linking wire (18) and a rear grommet (24) made of an elastomer material, pierced with rows of individual passages for the wires. It also comprises a rigid piece (28) having sides intended to be inserted laterally on either side of the rows and to push back the elastomer material transversely and, for each gap between two rows, a partition intended to be inserted into a notch (30) formed in the grommet, at mid distance between the two rows. <IMAGE>
