PURPOSE:To prevent the sealing of air between stocks and to prevent defective press contact by covering the space between the stationary platen and movable platen of press with cover to provide a deaeratable hermetic chamber and forming a vacuum state in the stage of pressing. CONSTITUTION:Hot plates 5 and the movable platen 6 to be hydraulically driven are provided between an upper platen 2 and lower platen 3 or the hot press 1 for printed circuit boards, etc. The side face of the moving space 7 of the movable platen 6 is covered by the cover 9 having an aperture 8 to be opened and closed by shutter 10 to form the hermetic chamber 9a. The stocks are first placed on the respective hot plates 5 at the time of pressing, then the shutter 10 is closed and the air therein is removed by a vacuum pump to form the vacuum state. The movable platen 6 is then driven by a hydraulic mechanism to pressurize and compress the stocks. The sealing of the air between the stocks is thereby obviated and the defective press contact is prevented. |
