PURPOSE:To reduce the sliding friction of a sliding throttle valve considerably by mounting a radial ball bearing rollable in the sliding direction on a board type sliding throttle valve for opening/closing an intake path while contacting the outer diameter of said bearing against the sliding face of sliding groove at single point. CONSTITUTION:An intake port 2 communicating to an intake port to be opened/ closed through an intake valve of engine is formed on the throttle body 1 arranged with a board type sliding throttle valve 3 movably up and down. A radial ball bearing 4 rollable in the sliding direction is mounted on the sliding section of said valve 3. A sliding groove 5 slightly wider than the outer diameter of said bearing 4 is arranged on said body 1 to contact the outer diameter of said bearing 4 against the sliding groove 5 at single point X. Consequently, the sliding friction of said valve 3 can be reduced considerably to reduce the sliding load of said valve 3 thus to eliminate the stick resulting in safe operation. |
