PURPOSE: To obtain a uniform resolving power for an observation area in an ultrasonic system. CONSTITUTION: A scanning is performed by a linear array to display an image of an area with a top truncated from a triangular image area. The transmission of the image is performed with the same increment of angle between adjacent ultrasonic beams to achieve a uniform image resolving power and a signal processing. A means is provided to delay a signal component received from the direction of a beam so that all signals can be added up in the same phase. The means makes the signals received dynamically focus by changing a sampling frequency and an array effective length with respect to the signal component arranged laterally. |
