<p>PURPOSE: To provide a means which reduces the energy loss for switching of a power amplifier and drives a dielectric load and/or a resonance circuit with a relatively high repeat rate. CONSTITUTION: In a high frequency power amplifier 82, for example, a CRT horizontal deflecting amplifier or the like, the amplifier output is sampled by a sampling device in a turn-off section (namely, in a storage period when transient power radiation is still low or in a turn-off section where transient radiation is high) and/or its period, and a signal proportional to the sampled output is fed back to an amplifier input driver 93 after a proper delay in a delay circuit, and the magnitude of the input driving power in the next amplifier turn-on section is controlled, thereby reducing transient power radiation and its variance. A desirable delay approximately corresponds to the amplifier turn-off section.</p> |
