PURPOSE: To select one or more than one kinds of characteristics related with a picture concerning filtering for alias removal, and to decide N pieces of offsets related with a basic array in order to exactly operate substantial N times of multiple samplings for the characteristic of the selected picture. CONSTITUTION: An array corresponding to sample points N = 4, 8, and 16 is shown. Black points indicate the basic array of sample points in a picture element area A, and white points indicate the sample points in an adjacent picture element area. As a method for arranging hose new arrays, a horizontal line in almost the same direction as an (x) axis or a (y) axis among the edges of a pixel picture is designed so as to cross one sample point once while moving to the (y) or the (x) direction. In the array, the picture element area A is exactly divided into N parts in the both (x) and (y) directions. |
