<p>PURPOSE: To provide a reader unit for supplying power to an integrated circuit token including a substantially plane power receiving coil by induction coupling. CONSTITUTION: The reader unit is composed of a base member 10 having a vertical type wall 12 on its upper surface. A double induction coil 14 consisting of a power coil 16 and a sensing coil 18 is installed in the base member 10. Both the coils 16, 18 are arranged in parallel with each other and two coil areas 30, 32 wound respectively reverse directions are arranged. A coil is arranged also on a card (not shown) loaded on the unit, its position in the state loaded on the unit is determined by the wall 12 and induction coupling of coils between the unit and the card is attained.</p> |
