2-(Omega-arylalkyl)-3-thienyl-alkanoic acid derivs. (I) are new. In (I), R - H, alkyl or aryl; R1, R2 = H or alkyl; R3 = H, alkyl, aryl, benzyl or an alkali metal; R5 = -(CH2)m- or -C(O)-(CH2)m-1-; R6 = -(CH2)n-R4 (A) or -C(O)-(CH2)a-R4 (B); R4 = phenyl opt. monosubstd. by halogen, hydroxy or methoxy; a = 0-5; m= 3-7; n = 0-6. Admin is p.o. or i.p. in conventional dosage forms contg. 1-1000 mg, pref. 50-250 mg, cpd. (I). USE - Cpds. (I) LTB4 antagonists useful for the treatment of allergic, immunological and inflammatory disorder, esp. eczema, psoriasis, acne, arthritis, asthma, rhinitis and inflammatory intestinal conditions.
