PURPOSE:To save the demand of a fuel pump by detecting the fuel pressure of a fuel passage from a fuel pump, which is driven by a motor, to an injector with a pressure sensor, and controlling drive of the fuel pump on the basis of the fuel pressure signal. CONSTITUTION:During the operation of an engine for an outboard machine, various control signals showing the operation condition such as intake air quantity of the engine and crank angle or the like are input to a control circuit 15, and the control circuit 15 computes the fuel supply quantity optimum for the operation condition, and outputs it to a drive circuit 16 to control drive of an injector 12. The fuel pressure signal detected by a pressure sensor 18, which is provided in a fuel passage from a fuel pump 11 to the injector 12, is input to the control circuit 15, and the control circuit 15 computes the ON/ OFF signal for the fuel pump 11 in response to that fuel pressure signal to control drive of the fuel pump 11. The fuel pump 11 is thereby stopped at the time of lowering rotation of the engine when the fuel injection quantity is reduced, and power consumption is saved. |
