PURPOSE: To provide an odor removing cover for an absorptive pad which is not stained during use and clean and dry by providing a cover formed of a nonwoven web fiber material which is coated with a fluorocarbon polymer and an odor absorbent, and boring a hole in the periphery of a critical zone of a cover sheet. CONSTITUTION: A cover 12 is obtained by preparing a mixed liquid taking water containing 1%(wt.%) fluorocarbon compound 24 as a base, adding an odor absorbent 26 to the mixed liquid, and further applying the same to a nonwoven web 22 as fiber material. The treated web 22 is dried by air at a temperature of about 100-120 deg. to remove surplus water from the mixed liquid. Further, the component of the fluorocarbon compound 24 is hardened by the above heating to form a hydrophobic coating in the periphery of the odor absorbent 26, and the odor absorbent 26 is coupled to the web 22. Thus, the cover 12 can be kept clean and dry as much as possible. |
