The fixture consists of a first rotary table (1) having its axis inclined at 45 deg. to the base mounted on a second rotary table (2) having its axis inclined at 45 deg. to the base (3). If the fixture is set up on a vertical spindle machining centre, five faces of the workpiece can be machined in one clamping. The top face of the work is machined first, and then the lower table (2) is indexed through 180 deg. to bring the work into the vertical plane and a further four faces machined by successive indexing of the upper table.
