A fruit spirit is used in prepn. of an egg liqueur. Spirit of wine may be used with the fruit spirit, or a fruit liqueur or synthetic aroma resembling fruit spirit may be used, opt. with spirit of wine. The additive may be spirits of (wild) cherry, raspberry, yellow plum, apricot, quince, plum, pear or damson, or the corresp. liqueurs, or artificial aromas with the corresp. taste. The compsn. contains the usual components of an egg liqueur. Sale of the egg liqueurs is also claimed. ADVANTAGE - The liqueur has a finer, milder and purer flavour, without the flavour of schnapps. In an example, a compsn. contained 6 egg yolks, 250 g of sugar, 1 small packet of vanilla sugar, 340 g of condensed milk, 40 ml of spirit of wine, 125 ml of cherry brandy, and opt. boiled water to adjust the viscosity
