PURPOSE: To improve an opening and closing mechanism that opens and closes (elevates) a connection-panel-type overhead garage door by engaging the gear of a motor reduction gear driving part to a rack in a guide track, and to obtain its parts. CONSTITUTION: In an opening and closing mechanism 30 of an overhead opening- and-closing-type garage door 20 consisting of a panel 23 being connected by a hinge, the mechanism is horizontally mounted along the top panel 23, a motor reduction gear driving part 31 being combined in one piece is arranged in the middle part of a guide track 26 at both sides while the part 31 directly operates on the guide track, and a specific curvature is given to the guide track in a motion region where the door panel changes from a vertical position to a horizontal one. |
