<p>A redox, hydrogen-acceptor compound, having utility in treating inflammation, is a 1,4-dioxonaphthalene or 1,4-diiminonaphthalene having either a 2,3-double bond, in which case there are 2 and 3-substituents, or a 2,3-single bond. Examples of such compounds are menadione epoxide and water-soluble derivatives of menadione such as menadione bisulphite.</p> |
