PURPOSE: To improve the separation of steam from cooling water by improving the operating efficiency of a nuclear reactor. CONSTITUTION: A trough structure 42 is bridged at the opening end of a cylindrical core shroud 22, crossed at a common center 44, and formed of spoke-like three, four, five or more trough members 40 extending radially horizontally outward to the upper end of the shroud 22 from the center 44. The members 40 are slightly inclined downward as extending outward form the center 44, and the depth and/or width is gradually extended toward the outward direction.
