摘要 PURPOSE:To uniformly and rapidly cool a mold independently of the size and shape of the thick lower mold and reduce the length of one cycle by stepwisely spraying water on the upper mold from the outside while the lower mold moves through a water bath. CONSTITUTION:The upper mold 23 is opened approximately vertically through hinges, and the lower mold 24 is gradually dipped into a water bath 12 while being drawn by a chain conveyor 22. The water bath 12 is constantly supplied with water regulated to a given temperature through a water supply pipe 21. When the lower mold 24 moving along rails 13 in the water bath 12 reaches a spray nozzle 17, water is sprayed on the outside of the upper mold 23 from the spray nozzle 17 for cooling. The level of the water in the bath 12 is set to right under the upper edge of the lower mold 24, spraying is performed to the outside of the upper mold 23 and the water scattered by the spray is blocked by a partition plate 20 so as to be prevented from entering the mold 24.
