摘要 PURPOSE:To properly control the differential condition of right and left wheels in response to torque distribution to these wheels with a differential limit control unit for a four-wheel drive vehicle to control the differential limit of the right and left wheels of the four-wheel drive vehicle. CONSTITUTION:This device consists of an input torque setting means which computes torque input to wheels on a right and left wheel differential limit mechanism side in case that rotating speed difference occurs between front and rear wheels and in case that no difference occurs to select the larger one of these two input torque values, a right and left wheel differential limit force setting means 50 which sets differential limit force so that the differential limit force of the right and left wheel differential limit mechanism can be increased with the increase of the input torque set by the input torque setting means, and a differential limit control means 420 which controls the right and left wheel differential limit mechanism 23 so that the differential limit force set by the right and left wheel differential limit force setting means 560 can be obtained.
