<p>PURPOSE: To make it possible to shorten the measuring time by one rolling bearing by using the same bearing, and discharging the lubricant retaining in the bearing in the previous test by pressure before a predetermined amount of lubricant is injected in the bearing at each time of starting each test. CONSTITUTION: To test specific lubricant, a predetermined amount of lubricant is injected in a rolling bearing 1 by a plunger 13, for example, for 5sec, and then the plunger 13 is reversely operated for 3sec. Then, the inner race in the bearing 1 is rotated via a rod 4, and excess lubricant is discharged by compressed air supplied from a coupling part 16 after initial 10sec from the bearing 1 for 1sec. Thereafter, a peak value is measured at each 3 sec until ten peak values are obtained. Then, the lubricant in the bearing 1 is completely removed by the compressed air from the part 16, repeated ten times for the same lubricant sequentially injected in the bearing 1, and 100 peak values are eventually obtained, and the quality of the lubricant is accurately measured.</p> |
