<p>PURPOSE:To improve insertability of metal sodium into the hole of a hollow valve. CONSTITUTION:A bar-shaped body 8 of metal sodium 3 extruded from a nozzle 13 is cooled and hardened while passing through a guide hole 14a in a cooling device 14 provided at the opening part of a nozzle 13 by means of a cooling medium 19 flowing out from exhaust holes 17 of the inner surface of a guide hole 14a. Consequently, occurrence of stickiness of the surface or bending distortion and, etc., of the bar-shaped body 8 are prevented.</p> |
