PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus for producing metallic cords improved in characteristics, such as wildness, of twisted metallic cords foamed by intertwining high tension steel filaments. CONSTITUTION: This apparatus has a first member which has a flyer having a revolving shaft A and means for rotating this flyer around this revolving shaft, a second member which has one set of first spools, a non-rotating shuttle which is hung from the flyer and has one set of second spools, a means which guides the filaments supplied from the spools untill arriving at a forming die 90 having a drawing axis joined with the flyer axis and means 93, 94 which guide the filaments supplied from one set of the second spools into the forming die and form the filaments in such a manner as to be arranged at an equal angle around the drawing axis and to have an angle of 35 to 60 deg. with the drawing axis. |
