PURPOSE: To provide a cooler for an electrophoretic apparatus using a capillary tube. CONSTITUTION: A capillary tube cassette 10 has a capillary tube 16 wound in a coil state therein, and is detachably mounted in a support 82. Means for generating a potential difference is provided between the input and output ends of the tube. Pressurized air flows in the directions of arrows A, B, C, D to cool the tube. This flow is perpendicular to the flow of sample in the tube 16. The air flows in the directions of arrows B, C, and the air in contact with the previous coil is separated from next coil. Accordingly, warmed air is isolated from heat without contact with the next coil. Oil used like in the prior art is not used. |
