<p>PURPOSE: To ensure a reliable operation of a pressure regulating valve even upon severe load changes, by disposing an intermediate valve between the valve plate of its diaphragm and the valve seat formed at the bottom of its housing, for relative axial movement with respect to the diaphragm. CONSTITUTION: A housing cover 3 is fixed to the opening of a valve housing 11, between which a diaphragm 14 is arranged. The diaphragm 14 has a valve- plate surface 22 in its central thick region that is supported by a carrier 27. Adjoining the carrier 27, a hollow cylindrical member 26 is arranged in which is placed an intermediate valve 18 having a valve plate 19, a valve seat 21 and a valve opening 20 having a constant diameter smaller than that of the valve seat 17. The intermediate valve 18 is held in the indicated position by a compression spring 24. This arrangement produces a valve made up of the valve plate 19 and valve seat 17, and another constituted of the valve plate 22 and valve seat 21.</p> |
