<p>The invention relates to an inhalation apparatus usable with an aerosol container (208) comprising a body forming portion and a discharge rod (216) movable with respect to said portion from a rest position wherein a discharge is prevented up to a service position wherein a discharge occurs. The apparatus has a casing (202) provided with an outlet through which a patient may inhale; it is provided with a retaining and pressure detection element in the form of a resilient plate (234); the resilient plate presents a first position wherein it prevents a relative motion between the discharge rod (216) and the body forming portion (202) towards the service position and a second position wherein it allows such motion to occur; said resilient plate detects when a reduced pressure occurs during an inhalation by the patient and passes correspondingly from the first position to the second position.
