PURPOSE: To provide a gas spring capable of practically reducing the force when starting the stroke in comparison with the force at the time of concluding the stroke. CONSTITUTION: Two stages of resistance can be supplied to the movement in the axial direction by a first head 22 and a rod 16 arranged freely to be slid in a second rod 18 having the head 22. The pressurized gas inside of a common chamber 14 in a cylinder 12 is applied to both the heads 20, 22. Seals 46, 77 related with each rod 16, 18 can be engaged for sealing when the force of the pressurizing gas is applied to the seal. The seal is enabled by using one stage or two stages of gas springs. As bearings 56, 57, 84, 85 and a sealing housing part, positive stops 96, 102 are provided in each rod 16, 18. |
