In an arrangement where ground surfaces interlock a cap and core, the novelty is that the locking arrangement consists of an upper part with a ring which describes an arc of mroe than 180 deg. but less than 360 degs. and incorporating an extension, and a ring-shaped lower section which extends over the same angle range as does the ring in the upper section and that the lower section slides along the upper section and may be locked in place. USE/ADVANTAGE - The arrangement provides a locking and release facility for ground surfaces such as glass bottle stoppers.
