ONBOARD SATELITE BROADCAST RECEIVER

PURPOSE:To correct a temperature drift and offset generated in a gyroscope and surely track a broadcasting satelite by the use of a receiving antenna. CONSTITUTION:A control signal is supplied to a driver 14 by the use of a controller 16 on the basis of the azimuth of a vehicle detected with the use of a gyroscope and a receiving antenna 12 is directed to a broadcasting satelite 10 to rotate and drive. At two arbitrary points receiving radio waves from the satelite the angle of the receiving antenna 12 is detected by the use of an angular sensor 20 and the azimuth of the vehicle is calculated from the angle and the direction of a known broadcasting satelite by the use of the controller 16. The azimuth of the vehicle obtained from the output of the gyroscope 18 is corrected by the use of the calculated azimuth of the vehicle to eliminate the influence of the temperature drift and offset.
