摘要 PURPOSE: To improve the efficiency in electric power generation of a power cycle system that combines a gasifier and a gas-turbine combined-cycle power generator, by separating a flow of low-purity oxygen from air cryogenically and using part of the oxygen flow for fuel gasification. CONSTITUTION: An air separation unit 1, which is constituted of a dual-column distilling plant, is operated at elevated air-inflow pressure or at an absolute pressure in the range from 8 to 20 bar to produce low-purity oxygen or to separate the total amount of supply air into a flow of oxygen products and a flow of nitrogen products at elevated pressure. A gasification section 2 pulverizes, by way of example, coal and mixes it with high-pressure oxygen and nitrogen at elevated temperature to convert it into a gaseous fuel, which is introduced into a mixer 102 wherein it is mixed with high-pressure nitrogen from a duct 104 before passed to a power cycle 3. The fuel gas is then subjected, for combustion, to compressed air from a compressor 202 within a combustor 206, with the combustion gas used to drive a double-expansion engine made up of expanders 210 and 212.
