A tea is prepd. by (a) dryuing Hydrangea serrata setinge var. thumbergii sugimoto leaves (I) for 1-10 days in the sun, (b) adding moisture into the dried (I) and fermenting for 1-7 days, (c) steaming the fermented (I) at 100 deg.C for 5-30 mins. in the steam bath, (d) destructing the wax and horny tissue of the steamed (I) and (e)re-drying. The obtd. tea has a good taste.
