<p>The handle according to the invention comprises a crosspiece (4) extending transversely with respect to the shaft (2) of the pole and surmounted by a longitudinal handle (7) which is offset transversely on the crosspiece (4) and arranged in a direction which is substantially parallel to the pole shaft (2). The longitudinal handle (7) constitutes the gripping zone for holding the pole during a descent.
