PURPOSE: To provide an auxiliary device which can travel and helps an invalid or an old man when he rises from a seated posture and a method thereof. CONSTITUTION: An auxiliary device which can travel, namely, a walker 10 includes vertical support parts 20, 22 which can travel and a bracing member 32 which is attached to the vertical support parts and is stored in them. This bracing member has the dimension in the horizontal direction which is sufficient for leaving the vertical support parts to stretch and crossing a seat 16 of a chair 12 to stretch. The bracing member can be pressed downward to help a person who is seated when he rises to a standing posture. |
