PURPOSE:To provide a laser polarization scrambler easy in high-speed operation. CONSTITUTION:This scrambler is made by installing a laser beam source 2, a delay means 4 branching a beam from this laser beam source 2, giving a specified delay time difference to an interval between branched beams for outputting them on the same optical path, and a modulation means 6 forcing the laser beam source 2 into frequency modulation or phase modulation so as to make a generating frequency deviation of the laser beam source 2 become at least one half of a free spectral range being determined according to the delay time difference. |
